Bloomington Fastpitch Association

Bloomington Fastpitch Association (BFA) is an American Softball Association (ASA)/ Minnesota Sports Federation (MSF) Junior Olympic program. BFA sponsors girls traveling fastpitch teams in six age groups: 8 and under (8U); 10 and under (10U), 12 and under (12U), 14 and under, (14U), 16 and under (16U), and 18 and under (18U). Summer leagues are the primary focus, but fall league teams are also a part of the program.

The emphasis at the 8U, 10U and 12U levels is on learning the fundamentals of the game, playing as a team, and having fun. Teams at the older age levels also stress fundamentals but add more game strategy and advanced skills. Teams are limited to 12-14 players.

BFA is a volunteer organization. Most of our coaches are volunteers: all of our coaches attend a US Junior Olympic Training Clinic. We welcome volunteers at all levels, from scorekeepers to coaches to board members.
